Description of the surroundings

Village Benecko is the highest situated village in Krkonoše on the way Jilemnice – Benecko – Vrchlabí. It is situated on the west slopes of Žalý massif. Thanks to its location, it has become a desired center of winter sports in particular. But neither fans of tourism nor fans of bike tourism are to miss out on something. In the surroundings of Benecko, there are many interesting places which are worth to see /see Trips/. In a winter season there are three lifts for adults and four for children. And from the upcoming winter season, a chair lift will also serve people’s needs. Ski schools, rental services and favorite maintained cross-country-ski tracks are available as well.
The pension is located in the district of Krkonoše National Park in the altitude of 930 meters above sea level. There are tourist tracks also in its surroundings, such as Zlaté návrší, Kotelní Jámy, Špindlerův Mlýn or Mísečky.

Description of the property

The pension has a total capacity of 54 beds. The rooms with 2 – 5 beds are equipped with own sanitary facilities (a shower and a toilet). In the rooms there is a TV with a satellite connection at one’s disposal. There is a restaurant with a TV/SAT and a video recorder in the ground floor (it serves as a dining room for our accommodated guests as well). There is a clubroom also equipped with a TV/SAT/DVD/ (this room can serve as a schooling room) and a bar in the pension. In a favorable weather the guests can sit on the two outside terraces with a view at Czech Paradise or Ještěd. In a summer season there is also a buffet. Those terraces can be also used for sunbathing, relaxing or on the other hand, for doing sports activities. Two table tennis rooms are further available for our guests. An unforgettable part of the pension is a sauna (there is a shower for cooling down) or an outdoor swimming pool. Straight close to it there is a grass playground for ball games, kid’s playing area with swings and a fireplace with a sitting.

Accessibility

The pension is situated about 200 m from a main road in the direction Jilemnice – Benecko – Vrchlabí. The accessibility is trouble free in summer months. However in the winter, it is necessary to use tire chains. In case of an inaccessibility of the object, it is possible to pick up one’s luggage from the 200 m far local parking lot. A part of the property is a free of charge parking lot for the accommodated guests. The nearest bus station (Benecko, Zlatá vyhlídka) is 200 m far from the pension. Train connections are either in Vrchlabí (6 km) or in Jilemnice (11 km).

Accommodation services

The pension offers an accommodation in 2 – 5 bed rooms with own sanitary facilities (a toilet, a shower). There is a TV in each room which is a part of the equipment, and therefore there is no fee to pay for its use. The pension is suitable both for families with children and for school’s trips, seminars, ski courses, school training, weekend events, tours etc. We offer a discount on accommodation for groups of 30 and more people.

Catering services

Our accommodated guests have an option to use a food service in a form of a half board or after a discussion with the owners in a form of breakfasts only. The half board includes breakfast and dinner (soup, main course, dessert). In summer there is an opportunity to eat in a restaurant.

Other services

In the pension a sauna is available for the accommodated ones. Those who did not come only to rest can use a grass playground or a table tennis. In the pension our guests can borrow all sports accessories serving for those activities (rackets, balls, tennis rackets, a soft tennis, football or volleyball balls, and of course a net). All those things can be borrowed for free. In summer our guests can cool themselves down in a local swimming pool.
In the village there is an opportunity to borrow a mountain bike or skies and snowboards. The pension also offers a possibility to keep bicycles or skies safe, using an own key from the depository room. For the grill fans there is a grill for use and for those who are more demanding, various grill specialties can be prepared on an order.
